L800-FIVE

This 1970 Scout 800 came from the sprawling landscape of Texas. It was an abandoned truck in all too good condition, just waiting to return to the dirt. What a sad story this could have been. Luckily, this left for dead Scout came into the hands of a new owner, one who knew it had to get the new life it deserved.

The new owner wanted a truck that could test the limits of what the Scout could be with a modern upgrade while also respecting its rich heritage. Intending to adventure with this vehicle and attend events like Copperstate Overland. This meant he needed something that could take him anywhere he wanted to be and have confidence in its mechanics in the process. Thats where the team here at New Legend and a custom Scout build came into the conversation.

Knowing what was in store for this rig we couldn’t have been more excited to get this Scout 800 done and ready to get out on the road. After extensive restoration and dreams becoming a reality this Scout is finally ready for its new life on the road. It showcases a beautiful Mayan Mist exterior with a fully restored creme brûlée hard top, a light tan waxed canvas interior, and a slew of the usual New Legend added amenities. From Texas it came, and to Texas it now will return with its owner with and a newfound breath of life that is sure to bring memories for years to come.
